Jonathan “JFLO” Florentino and Christian “Yamcha” Aponte always dreamt of a band that mixes together the traditional sounds of Bachata along with urban NYC culture.  The founders of EUFORIA, JFLO and Yamcha, are 1st generation Dominicans born in New York City. As a Latin percussionist, JFLO’s style has influences from various genres consisting of classical, Latin Jazz, Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue Tipico. As a DJ/Producer, Yamcha has a background in Bachata, Merengue, Rap and Reggaeton. From an early age, Yamcha has always considered himself an organic Bachatero/Musician. Both together and individually, they have contributed to the NYC Bachata movement as musicians in many different groups. 

The combination of JFLO’s eclectic percussive style paired along with Yamcha’s swaggy guitar riffs create the harmony that is EUFORIA. EUFORIA is a tribute to the old, the new, the classic, and the urban; entering the NYC Bachata movement ready to contribute and expand the versatility.
